What it is

A free iOS app, one of the earliest purpose-built visual-assistance apps for blind users, that lets a user photograph an object from any angle and receive a spoken identification a few seconds later. Descriptions are generated by CloudSight's image-recognition service, which combines automated computer vision with human review of results to improve accuracy. Also includes barcode/QR code reading.
