Privacy
We collect as little as we can and we do not sell it.
If you browse
A signed cookie (visitor_token) lets us keep a search-desk
thread together before you have an account. It is not used for
advertising. Text size and theme live in your browser’s local storage,
not on our servers. Plain-language mode is a cookie so it survives a
reload without JavaScript.
If you use the search desk, the question and the reply are stored so we can see what people are looking for and which listings they opened. The question is also sent to xAI to look up products. Do not put health records, passwords, or anyone else’s private details in the desk.
If you make an account
We keep the email address, display name, and password hash you give us, plus sessions so you stay signed in. Reviews, comments, saves, suggestions, and open needs are tied to that account. Open needs are published without your name. You can ask us to export or delete the account — email hello@peoplerobots.com.
If you subscribe
We store the email and a confirmation token. We send a confirmation link first; nothing else until you confirm, and we do not share the list.
Transactional mail
We also write when you reset a password, when something you submitted is reviewed, when a listing you suggested goes up, and when someone replies to a review you wrote. These are not a newsletter.
What we do not do
No ad network, no sale of personal data, no third-party analytics pixels on these pages. Server logs include IP addresses for a short time so we can keep the site up.
Questions: hello@peoplerobots.com.
