What it is
A subscription iOS app from Mediate (an MIT-spinoff) that automatically detects what a user is trying to scan — short text, a long document, currency, or a barcode — and reads it aloud accordingly, using camera guidance to help the user find the right angle before capture. Includes an 'Explore' feature for scanning a physical environment to hear about surrounding objects, and works largely offline once a scan mode is selected.
