What it is
A free iOS and Android app from Microsoft that uses the phone camera and on-device/cloud AI to narrate the visual world aloud. Separate 'channels' are tuned for different tasks: short text, full documents, product barcodes, currency, colour, light, handwriting, scenes, and people — including a trainable channel that recognises specific named individuals from a handful of reference photos. Output is spoken description plus on-screen text, with VoiceOver and TalkBack support throughout.
