What it is

ReSound Vivia is a prescription hearing aid platform from Danish manufacturer ReSound (GN Hearing). It uses a dual-chip design pairing ReSound's existing '360' sound processing chip with a separate deep neural network processing chip, which the company says is trained on roughly 13.5 million sentences and performs up to 4.9 trillion operations per day to separate speech from background noise, alongside a real-time 'Intelligent Noise Tracker' for environment analysis. It is fitted through a licensed hearing care professional and controlled via the ReSound Smart 3D smartphone app, which also supports remote video fine-tuning sessions with the fitting provider.
