Open-source hands-free mouse and game control using head movement and facial gestures

Software Desktop app

What it is

Project GameFace is an open-source, free desktop and Android application originally built by Google that lets a user control a mouse cursor and trigger clicks using head movement and facial gestures captured by a standard webcam, processed on-device using MediaPipe's face-landmark detection models (BlazeFace and FaceMesh). Gestures such as raising an eyebrow, opening the mouth, or tilting the head are mapped to cursor movement and click actions, and the gesture-to-action mapping is user-configurable per profile. It runs as a background application on Windows PCs, with a separate implementation for Android, and is intended to give hands-free pointer and click control for PC games and other software.
