What it is
Otter.ai is a cloud-based AI transcription and meeting-notes service. It joins or connects to Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet calls (or records audio directly) and produces a live, scrolling caption feed plus a full text transcript in real time. After a meeting it generates an automated summary, topic outline and list of action items, and lets users search across past meetings or ask an AI chat assistant questions about what was said. It is available as a desktop app, mobile app (iOS/Android), Chrome extension and web app, with free and paid subscription tiers.
