What it is
Microsoft Teams' built-in Live Captions feature uses speech recognition to display real-time, speaker-attributed captions during a meeting, turned on from the in-meeting controls. A more advanced 'live translated captions' mode — requiring a Teams Premium or Microsoft 365 Copilot add-on licence held by the meeting organiser — translates captions into a participant's chosen language in real time from over 50 source languages, alongside post-meeting recordings and searchable transcripts.
