Personalised visual step-by-step routines for people with dementia, brain injury or IDD
What it is
MapHabit is a tablet-based platform that presents daily routines and tasks as personalised, audio-visual step-by-step guides ('maps'), each combining images, text and reminders scheduled to specific times. Caregivers or care teams build and adjust the maps using an AI-assisted Map Builder tool. It is aimed at people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, dementia and Alzheimer's disease, traumatic brain injury, and autism, spanning childhood through elder care. Access is primarily through state Medicaid waiver programs, healthcare organisation partnerships, or direct organisational purchase, with short trials available.
