What it is

A mobile app that adds live captions to ordinary phone calls for people with hearing loss, using a personal InnoCaption phone number that forwards calls through the service. Captions can be generated by automatic speech recognition or by a live human stenographer, and a user can switch between the two modes mid-call. It is certified by the US Federal Communications Commission as an Internet Protocol Captioned Telephone Service (IP CTS), which funds it at no cost to registered users.
