What it is
A free Android app from Google that uses computer vision and generative AI to help blind and low-vision users interact with their surroundings. It offers distinct modes for reading short text and full documents, scanning food packaging and barcodes, recognising currency, finding specific objects (seats, doors, tables) via an experimental 'Find' mode, and generating a description of a captured, uploaded or shared photo via its Images mode.
