What it is
Google Lens is a visual search feature built into the Google app, Google Camera, Google Photos, Chrome, and the camera app on many Android devices. Pointing the camera, or selecting an existing photo, at text, an object, a plant or animal, or a product lets the user search visually instead of by typing. Lens can copy or read out recognised text, translate text in an image in real time from over 100 languages, identify objects, plants and animals, and find visually similar products. It is free and built into apps most people already have installed.
