.lumen Glasses

Camera-and-AI glasses that steer you around obstacles with vibration on your forehead, the way a guide dog pulls a harness
What it is
.lumen Glasses are a haptic-feedback wearable for blind and low-vision pedestrians, made by the Romanian company .lumen (dotlumen). Cameras in the glasses build a real-time 3D model of the space ahead, recomputed around 100 times per second, and the device translates detected obstacles and path options into patterned vibration on the wearer's forehead rather than sound — intended to be read the way a guide-dog handler reads pulls on a harness, leaving hearing free for ambient awareness of traffic and speech. The company markets the glasses explicitly as replicating 'the main features of a guide dog,' fitted to roughly 80% of adult head sizes, CE marked, with a 24-month warranty.
