Robotic arm
What it is
A robotic arm that mounts to a powered wheelchair for reaching, grasping and manipulation tasks — eating and drinking, personal grooming, opening doors, retrieving objects, drawing and recreational activities. It is operated through whichever input the user already relies on for chair control: joystick, keypad, single switch, smartphone or digital joystick. Assistive Innovations manufactures, fits and services the arm in-house and is the main European alternative to Kinova's JACO for this use case.
