What it is
Live Speech is an accessibility feature across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and Apple Watch that speaks typed text out loud in real time. A person types (or pastes, or taps a saved phrase) into the Live Speech window, taps Speak, and the text is spoken through the device's speaker or, during a FaceTime or phone call, output directly to the other party. Users choose from Apple's built-in system voices or their own Personal Voice. Frequently used phrases can be saved and organized into custom categories for faster access than typing from scratch each time.
